Do I have to be an expert on photography to join?
Answer:
NO! - We welcome absolute beginners as well as more experienced photographers

Do I need expensive equipment?
Answer:
No, Disposable, Compact, Digital Compact, SLR, D-SLR, Medium and Large Format. The choice is yours.

Do I have to enter competitions and battles?
Answer:
No, It's not compulsory but we think you'll get more out of the club if you do.

Do I have to go to away Battles
Answer:
No. We like members to come to away battles to support the club. If you need transport for away battles just have a chat with a committee menber who will try to arrange this for you

What are "Members Evenings"?
Answer:
Members evenings are occasions when instruction in technical photography subjects, or illustrated talks are given by club members.
Each evening covers a different aspect of photography and a wide range of subjects are covered each season.
They are opportunities for individua members to instruct or entertain the club and to show pictures not necessarily up to competition standard.

Yes! There is a list included in the competition rules sheet.

What is the "Rosebowl"?

The Rosebowl is a knockout competition between camera clubs in the CACC

What is the CACC?
Answer:
The CACC (Chiltern Association of Camera Clubs) is an area group of clubs affiliated to the PAGB

Answer:
The PAGB (Photographic Alliance of great britain) is the overall governing body for camera clubs in Great Britain

What if I want to ask for help with my photography, who do I approach?
Answer:
Speak to a member of the committe first. They will direct you to a club member who has expertise in the filed in which you want help.

Are my photographs suitable for competitions?
Answer:
If you want to know whether some of you pictures are suitable for entry into competitions there is a sytsem for appraisal by experienced members.
